Dale M. Webber
2025 "The Ed Award" Recipient
Dale M. Webber is a different type of community servant. Rather than being someone who creates and builds something that fills a void or enhances the community, Dale sees someone or something that needs help, and he steps up to serve. Where others “write checks,” Dale lends a hand, and he brings friends. He is the consummate “let’s make it better” community member.
Dale has been known to work from the early morning hours into the evening to help neighbors, friends, organizations, and the town. He brings a vast knowledge of Plymouth, its people, and how things work. He brings an ability to do things. He knows how to bring diverse people together for the common good.
Dale has served Plymouth as a Town Meeting Representative, on various boards and committees, and as president of one of the Town’s employee unions. He works tirelessly to protect the people he represents, doing so with quiet dignity.
For over fifty years, Dale has called Plymouth home. He gives of himself and all that he can bring to an effort with no fanfare or expectation of recognition or reward.
Nominating Testimony
“Dale M. Webber has called Plymouth home for more than five decades. His love of the town, the community, and all that is good about Plymouth is evident in everything he does. From his service as a Town Meeting Representative, to the boards and committees he chooses to be part of, to his helping anyone and everyone that needs it, Dale is not only a good servant; he is also a good person. He is a great example of community and the type of person that goes unrecognized for all that they do. The Edward W. Santos Community Service Award was established to recognize those among us that do good not for personal or political gain. They do it to just Make Plymouth Better!”
